Two thugs were bitten by a police dog, one in the buttocks, when they were chased down for allegedly assaulting two citizens in Downtown Halifax early Tuesday morning. At about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday night, the victim went to the Spring Garden Road and Robie Street area to meet with someone he believed was interested in buying his iPod. Police have captured a man suspected of committing a rash of robberies in Downtown Halifax over the past week. Early Sunday morning, police arrested a 31-year-old Halifax man and charged him with five counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery. Two men were stabbed by third man during an apparent domestic dispute in Dartmouth on Saturday night. At about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of someone being stabbed on Highfield Park Drive. There were two store robberies in Halifax overnight, both of which may have been committed by the same man, according to Halifax Regional Police. With the arrival of warm weather, there is increased usage of parks and green spaces in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
