Three incidents have been reported to police within the Yarmouth and Lunenburg areas within the last month. Four would-be thieves were arrested after trying to steal property from a car parked at a gas station in Halifax early Friday morning. A 32-year-old man after police seized about 60 marijuana plants at a residence on Highway 206 in Arichat, Nova Scotia on Wednesday. The Sydney RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant at the residence and found the plants both indoors and outdoors. A man robbed a children’s store in Downtown Halifax on Tuesday night. Shortly after 5 p.m., a man entered the Bib and Tucker store at 6423 Quinpool Road and demanded cash from the store clerk. Police officers in the HRM Integrated Major Crime Unit are continuing their investigation into the suspicious death of a seven-week-old baby girl. Given the baby’s death, the severity of the situation has increased for police.
