A 17-year-old male was shot while sitting on the front step of a house in Halifax on Sunday night. Shortly before 11 p.m., police were called to a house in the 2300 block of Creighton Street. A shopper was chased around a store by a gang of males in the Micmac Mall on Friday afternoon. At about 5:20 p.m., the victim was shopping at the Winners Department Store when he was approached be a known male who challenged the victim to a fight. Today is the 10th anniversary of the murder of Jason MacCullough and the Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the case. Jason’s body was found on a paved path between 100 and 104 Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 1999. A 48-year-old man suffered a serious eye injury when he was shot in the face with a paint ball on Thursday morning. Early in the morning on Thursday, the man was walking along Northwest Arm Drive near Osborne Street when he heard a car pull up behind him. He was then shot in the face with a paint ball. Investigators in the Halifax Regional Police Integrated Vice Unit arrested four Johns during an undercover operation conducted in Dartmouth Wednesday night. Four men were arrested in the Windmill Road area of Dartmouth for allegedly propositioning an undercover police officer. The men ranged in age from 56 to 63. A man wearing a black bandana over his face robbed the Royal Bank at 6390 Quinpool Road in Halifax on Wednesday morning. At about 10:35 a.m., police responded to the bank where it was reported that a man entered the bank and demanded money from staff. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot, heading westbound on Quinpool Road. No weapon was seen or mentioned, and no one was injured during the incident. A 51-year-old man assaulted during a consensual fight in Dartmouth on August 13 died in hospital on Friday (August 21). At about 10:45 p.m. on August 13, police were called to the intersection of Pine Street and Prince Albert Road in relation to an injured person. Jewelry was stolen during a home invasion in Dartmouth on Monday afternoon. At about 2:40 p.m., three to four males forced entry into an apartment located in the 100 block of Windmill Road. Once inside, one of the males produced a handgun and put a bag over the head of the lone occupant. The other males searched the apartment and removed some jewelry. A male young offender has been arrested in relation to two break-and-enter thefts in Bedford. At about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday night, Halifax Regional Police responded to a break-and-enter at a building under construction on Bluewater Road. A security guard on the scene had spotted a male suspect inside the building and contacted police. A police canine unit tracked the suspect, who was apprehended some distance away. A man and a woman were stabbed during a melee in Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon. At 3:45 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance at 15 Kennedy Drive in Dartmouth.
