Man discovers skeletal remains in Stellarton

A Stellarton man was walking his dog in a wooded area near the west end of town late Thursday morning when came across what appeared to be human skeletal remains. He immediately called Stellarton Police from his cellphone. Police officers attended the scene and were later assisted by Westville Police, a New Glasgow Police forensic identification officer and members of the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Unit. Break and enter at doctor’s office in Stellarton

Stellarton Police are requesting the public’s assistance in helping to identify suspects who broke into the office of a Stellarton physician on Saturday. The break-in occurred at 258 Foord St. sometime between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. A ground floor window facing a laneway on the north side of the building was smashed out during the break-in.
