PLANE CRASH IN COLCHESTER COUNTY/ Écras

Friday, July 30, 2010, Valley, NS…RCMP officers from Bible Hill Detachment responded to the scene of a small plane crash in Valley, NS early this morning.

The plane, a turbo prop Cessna, crash-landed in the Hill Ridge Drive area. The first reports to police were received at 6:55 am.

The cockpit of the plane was intact following the crash. Two occupants of the plane were ambulatory and talking with RCMP officers before being transported by EHS from the scene. Local fire departments contained leaked fuel and the Transport Safety Branch has been advised.
